Crews scramble to save children after sailboat capsizes.

Three young children are hospitalized after the sailboat they were in capsized Friday afternoon. “It’s not a very good day today,” Clearwater County Sheriff Mike Erickson said.

The two younger children did not make it. The father was the mayor of Leonard. This is a small spit in the wind size town but I like it. They are an ATV friendly community with trails in every ditch and atv's parked in the streets and sidewalks. there are several amish settlements about the area as well, adding to the discription of this queit rural town.
the Leonard bar is famous for it's burgers and every weekend the place is hopping. this tragedy will impact the community very hard.

LEONARD – Two children died after falling into a frigid lake, and a third is listed in critical condition after first responders pulled the siblings Friday afternoon from Clearwater Lake.

LEONARD – An 8-year-old boy who fell into a frigid lake near here remains in critical condition, but is showing positive signs.

Today 4/10/12 update

MINNEAPOLIS – The family of Isaiah Risland say the 8-year-old boy is showing some positive recovery signs, but prayers are still needed in his fight to survive.
