It is time for the license fees to keep pace with inflation. Set a guide in place that the fees increase at least every3 to 5 years to keep up. Of course there also needs to be control over the money so that it only goes to DNR and not the general fund, and that they will still get regular funding from the legislature.

These people need to live within their means.  As long as they can fund stupid ideas like boat cleaning stations that don't do much to stop anything.    Cut some of the big wigs at the top.  First it was the lottery, then the legacy amendment.  When are you people going to wake up?  Giving the government more money is NEVER a good idea.  Plus from the articles I've read they are not even going to raise the fees on out state licenses.  What a joke!

"Giving the government more money is NEVER a good idea"
Ok, I agree, it's hard to argue that statement.  However, over the years we have invested millions of dollars in creating more outdoor activity opportunites of all kinds.  Many of these new activites need to be regulated and controlled.  Expanded hunting seasons, ATV/OHV trails to name a few.  We need to have additional funding to keep up with the demand for outdoor activies.   In other words, it doesn't make much sense to pay for an expensive car, only to leave it out in the hail because you didn't budget for a garage.

I can't argue with that deadeye.  What I'm saying is the money is already their it's just not being used for what it was intended for in the first place.  To use your analogy.......the garage is built but the government wasn't smart enough to build it where they planned on storing the car.

P.S. The Government needed a back hoe but spent the money on an expensive car for one of their buddy's projects which the money wasn't intended for and now they are coming to the tax payer for more money.  Yet so many are ready to just give more without asking questions........Smart?
