Anybody know any good hog hunting spots or areas? I live north of the Twin Cities and would like to stay within the hundred mile range. Any help is appreciated.

i've heard some talk that they made it to wisconsin... or maybe they were just talking about the chics at the bar

i have read there are hogs in about 45 of the 50 states due to illegal transportation and/or hogs escaping from fences. however they are very scattered small populations in most. ranchers in texas and the other high population states have caught on that people will pay to hunt these pigs so its hard to find free hunting. most only charge $125 for a day though. ive even seen some that will let you hunt with thier AR's and thermal scopes at night, ( not sure if its legal) but most things are in texas. ive wanted to try this with my family but with fuel, lodging, and tag/fees it comes out to $200-$300 per person for a 1 day hunt. thats a lot of pork at the grocery store.
my wife said it.... im OFFICIALLY ADDICTED to MNO!!

the thing that kills me with hog hunting is that all you hear is the ranchers complaining about how the hogs are destroying everything.. and then they charge you to come on the ranch to shoot something that is destroying their fields and grazing lands for their live stock.. if there were such a problem why wouldn't they just let people out to shoot em? i think the complaining is just a way to get the feds to kick em some money

My wife works for a AG lending co.
the latest reports she saw said that wild Hogs on Texas cause 9.8 BILLION in crop damage
thats not Federal or insurance covered.
It's so bad that a Gov. trapper caught 135 in Dallas/Fort Worth city limits so far this year
and as of Jan.1 you can hunt them from aircraft
as far as the $125 per day fee I've seen pics of guys shooting 30-50 hogs
and there are places that buy them so in essence you could bring home meat and have the trip payed for in meat sales
My bro-in-law has done just that 3-4 times last year
He brings 200-350lbs back each time
I'm going with next time
