I'm a little bit obsessed with my deer hunting and it shows in many ways.  One of which is the number of trail cameras I put out.  I've added a few more in recent weeks, bringing the total up to 11.  I'm planning on doing a little "head to head" competition between some of the brands and posting the results here for all to see, but that will come later.  Right now, I'm just trying to get each one located in a good spot.  I've hit gold on some and have been pretty much skunked on others.  Here are some of the pics I've gotten in the past few weeks, they are in no particular order so you'll have to pay attention to the date stamps:

The little one in front is safe.  The guy in the background is safe for 1 more year....

9 pt.  Borderline shooter.  I'd have a hard time holding off but I should.  He's not quite ready.

Shooter.  Nice 8pt.  Got lots of photos of this guy (hundreds) on the salt lick.

Same deer back for more:

Nice 11 pointer.  Split G2 tine on one side, other side is straight up 5 pt.  He's not as big as the 8pt above.  Hard to do, but I have to pass.

Here's the big 8 and the 11 together and another in the background on the right side but I can't quite make out how big it is:

Another big 8pt.  Not sure if it's the same one but it might be.  Shooter:

Small 8pt that's safe for at least a year and a big 8 in the background:

Hard to tell if they're different but I don't think this one is the same as the others since his front tines point more upward.  Shooter.

Nice little bear.  I'm not a bear hunter though.

Little 8pt.  He's safe.

Here's another one of those big 8pt's, or are they all the same one?:

The 11 pt with the split G2 makes another appearance at a different salt lick:

8 pointers galore this year.  Shooter:

Another pic of the 11 pt:

And another:

Different deer.  Nice 9 pointer.  Not the same one as the second pic above.  Shooter:

Smaller 9 pt.  Not a shooter:

Great photos. Thanks for posting.  I'm looking for another camera so will be watching for your analysis.  I'm looking for one with "plot watch" feature that will take a photo every so often (settable) without a trigger.  Also, I want to get one with black IR so there is no red glow at night.

The newest one I have, the Primos Truth Cam 35 Ultra, is pretty impressive so far.  I have it over a salt lick with the setting at 3 shot burst.  It does have a "plot watch" feature which can be downloaded and played back as a movie.  Problem is battery life.  I've had it out for about 2 weeks and it's already down to 40%.  Granted, it's popped off over 6000 photos so far.  You can see some in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th pics I posted above.  It's a standard IR camera and not a "black" flash but I have yet to see a deer looking directly at the camera.  As I mentioned, it's taken over 6000 photos and 98% of those have deer in the frame.  They don't seem to even know it's there, day or night.  I have HUNDREDS of photos of the deer above taken in that spot and they keep coming back.  Like I said, the only drawback is battery life.  In plot watch mode it would probably run the batteries dry in a week.  They have a jack to hook up a 6V.  If you were to decide on this camera and use it as a plot watching cam, I'd definitely invest in the 6V setup.  Other than battery life I've been very impressed with this one so far.

Thanks for the update on the camera.  Battery life is VERY important.  I had two cameras out for a week.  I was clearing trails today and swapped out the cards.  I will have great battery life in one camera because I never turned it on.   :doah:
I got about 600 on the other but have not looked at them yet.  I'm guessing there will be a lot of blanks considering where and how I positioned it.
