New Trophy/ Den

Well I decided to start on my Trophy/ Den,

 I have taking some nice fish in the last two year in the fishing challenge I thou I need a trophy room, add to my house if my house was not big as it is, It will have a 12x20 added to it,

At the same time I thou I would add a enter to the basement and bring the house up $$ because it can have a place in the down stair that will be able to rent, Make resale more desirable for new buyer some day,

Yes I did a 6'x6'x6' hole by hand dinging,

  You didn't double up on your top plate (2x4') You are bearing all your truss weight on a single 2x4 Actually you are suppose to double up all your top plates. At the very least you should run a stud under the plate wear the truss rest to help carry the load. Not code but at least it won't bow down the road.

Yes you are right , But Right now It just tack, I for got them We will put them in Monday

Good catch bobby, and while we are picking at wildes building, I might add a couple things.  Studds are usually 16 inch on center regardless of window placement.  I also don't see a headder over the windows.

I have trophy's from last year that will be done soon, I have 4 trophy's that are on my wall in the house,  and 11 point buck that at my store, But the wife  is taking over, So I will just build a room that the wife CAN'T HAVE!!

Sunday and Monday  the roof is done and man it was hot  The first layer of outside wall is close to being done,,

Two week in to this and it coming together nice,

new update with the siding just about done, we will seal and be paining, as at the same time wood is being put in the wood shed,

I will said it as come a long ways in a short time as I still have a lot to do on the inside but have all winter to do that,
