I to have been thinking about getting in this mix.  I'm a pretty busy guy and am thinking on the line of an electric one.  What do you guys recommend for a smoker.  Been kicking around the Bradley one with the wood disks.

 I have a propane one now and plan onbuilding one this winter. Basically it will be a large wood box with 2 electric hot plates.  The racks will be from an old frig. 
Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

I have a Bradley which automatically feeds the wood discs into the smoker. Works great. I still rotate the trays periodically however to make sure all the meat cooks evenly. Other than that its pretty much "set it and forget it."

hey general.......i have a friend bewteen our campground and your inlaws that has one of those and loves it. and i can ask him where he reorders his disks from if you do get one. i could also arrange to take you over there to look at it also!!!!

ps. got some nice sunfish on long this past weekend. and had my camera down.........psssst...........seen real live walleyes down there!!! :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Bradley digital is the way to go,I checked around hard,this baby is insulated and the heat therm goes up to 320degrees for cold weather cooking.If you need more info PM me.

Smoked salmon whenever you wants some.

I too was at Menards and checked out their smokers and saw they had the disks.  The more I keep reading the the net the more it think about changing to one that doesn't take the disks in fear of them ever going out of business then you're S.O.L  $198 is a very nice price though.  I might have to run to another Menards.

Yeah Dan,its your fault,not much of beer drinker these days but with smoked fish its the best!

I would'nt worry about bradley,they've been around for years,besides I see another company promoting similar bisquets for bradley smokers.Neat thing about the digital bradley is the "auto feed",a new bisquet is fed every 20 minutes,just load the stack with wood flavor of choice,set the timer and temp and your good to go,"just set it and forget it",also like the electric as well,no messin around with propane or,charcoal or wood and it burns super clean,no residue on the food,just clean smoke.
