How bad does it smell do you burn the hide as we'll?

We usually donate the hides but have burned a few hides from roadkills because the donation boxes are not out in the spring.  When the hides burn you do not want to be close or downwind from the fire. I :puke:t stinks REALLY BAD!!!!!!!! :puke: :puke: :puke:
