Four teenage duck hunters are expected to fully recover after they were rescued from the frigid waters of a Beltrami County lake.

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Four teenage duck hunters are expected to fully recover after they were rescued from the frigid waters of a Beltrami County lake.

Sheriff's officials said a boat carrying the four, ages 18 and 19, capsized about 200 yards from shore on Three Island Lake near Woodhaven Resort on Monday evening. The resort owner and another man launched a boat to help the men and were soon joined by local rescue personnel.

Sheriff Phil Hodapp said the four young men were floundering in the lake near their boat in about 10 to 12 feet of water when rescuers reached them.

The hunters were treated at the scene for exposure.

Three Island Lake is about 15 miles north of Bemidji.
