those blackouts are pretty cool with no flash. Last years model did live up to its name and have a rare blackout photo but the new for this year has aa batteries instead of ds and is much smaller I hope you got the new one congrats

Thanks guys.  I posted the pic so  everybody can save it to your desktop and use it as the back round on your comp.  I might have to get a few 8X10 and sign them for ifc prizes.  I didn't enter the grouse pic because the people judging the comp. are from the south and wouldn't appreciate it as much as our national bird. Don't know which model it is but it was free.

I finally got the cam 2 weeks ago and put it out at my parents house overlooking the standing corn field that the deer have been hammering.  The new cam took about 50 picture with the new copper tops and are now DEAD.  I will be calling Promos and finding out what their customer service is like.  Hoping for the best.

Primos claims 30,000 pics on a set of batteries.  I have several other cams out year round and they don't eat batteries that fast, even in this cold weather. I would be happy with 2,000 pics.  I get more than 3,500 pics out of cheap batteries and 5,000 out of Duracell's.

Free is always cool.  I would be really mad if I payed 159.00 and had a camera eat the batteries that fast.

I just got off the phone with Primos.  It only took 5 min. max.  I will have to ship it back to them and they will then ship me a brand new blackout model that takes the double A's.  Very easy and customer service was GREAT.  Hopefully the new camera will be much better.
