    Cabela's plans to open Woodbury, Minn., store


WOODBURY, Minn. | Hunting-and-fishing retailer Cabela's Inc. is expanding to the eastern Twin Cities.

The Nebraska-based company announced plans this week to open a store in Woodbury in the fall of 2014.

It will be the fourth location in Minnesota, after Owatonna, Rogers and East Grand Forks.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports the store will be located in the Tamarack Village Shopping Center and will employ up to 185 full-and part-time employees. Construction on the 85,000-square-foot store will start this fall

   They are hunting me.  Owatanna was a 2 hr drive.  Rogers was 1 hr.  Now I will be looking at 15 minutes.

cabelas is superior to gander/dicks.  sportsmens warehouse used to be good before they went tits up

I agree Beeker, Gander just sucks. I wish they would of put it farther north like Brainerd or Duluth.
