The lake is in great shape for a long season this year!  Lots of snow cover and 36 inches of good ice.

The bite has been providing a challenge. There has been constant action on the sonars all day, getting them to bite has been the game.  There have been some big Walleye caught this past week and as the season goes it should get better.  Smaller presentations are still the best.  We are seeing a mix of Walleye and Sauger keepers about half and half with an occasional Perch.  We are also seeing great numbers of Tulibee and Burbot along with some Northerns getting active.

The forecast looks to be a repeat of last week which will keep us out fishing in March.  Low temps into single digits and highs up to 30’s for the week ahead.

Don’t forget we are able to have our houses out until March 31st and Walleye is open until April 14th.
