doing a conceal and carry class this weekend with a buddy.. what is the shooting requirement? is there a set number of rounds that have to be fired? set number that need to hit? sure the instructor will explain.

but thought this may be a forum where someone may have taken the class already and could shoot me the standard.

haven't qualified myself with a handgun since 2001.. good old army.. miss all the shooting on someone elses dime.

Yeah,  you will shoot 6 rounds at 10 or 15 ft then 20 then 30 then 50. You are timed I don't remember how many seconds it is.  It's plenty of time though.   It's really easy.  You need to have somewhere around 75% to pass. That is center mass hits and it is a big target.  The only problem I had was they provided shooting glasses for eye protection.  If you have your own good ones bring them.  Mine kept fogging up on me.

Must be different because at the clad i just took it was like 12 rounds at 21ft.  That was it.  I'm not sure any one could fail if they had done any shooting in the past.

Class I took was 50 rounds all at 21 ft Different target situations. If you shot u passed. Pretty simple. Sounds like you know what your doing. I would not worry.

not too worried about it.. just didn't know what to expect.. figure i'll use the good ol' 1911 as I'm a firm believer that John Browning was a gifted man and if the NRA had a patron saint I think he's a good candidate

well took the class about 3 weeks ago.. put in my permit request on april 26th.. got the permit today in the mail. chisago county.. now it's on to picking up a new handgun. not so much for carrying just because the wife thinks she knows how many guns I have now and I have to keep her guessing
