    • Fishing & Hunting South Dakota's Lake Oahe and Lake Sharpe
I guided repeat customers Toyota of Kansas City with Terry Greene ramrodding the trip. We fished on Sharpe one day then put the main bunch of guys from all over the Midwest on lower Lake Oahe for the next day filling full limits all three days. I had 7 guide boats out and they all limited with 25 walleye every day getting many over fish and all of the over and under 15 inch bonus fish by all boats. We also caught full limits of small mouth bass in each boat making for a huge fish fry the first evening. Toyota had a great trip and all of us guides would like to thank them for spending (especially boss Terry Greene) company money to provide their loyal employees a fishing trip for their company efforts. We are still using minnow/bottom bouncer rigs or jigs/gulp and fishing in 20 fow or less with many big fish coming right off the bank. Pulling plugs shallow will also work. Nightcrawlers are starting to be a good choice in some area's but minnows still are the number one choice. Water temps staying in 50's with some 60 degree bay/creek temps around. It is good to look for the stained warmer water. Memorial Day is here so look for the lakes to be very busy with a lot of anglers around. Northern, small mouth bass catfish and a few crappie continue to be bonus fish in many bags. Fishing is great when the weather is great.
