I really like that hammer. Is it acrylic? The lead block really helps keep it from chipping and cracking.

  It's some sort of high impact acrylic.  It is surprisingly durable.  The whole concept is inertia.  So the block is a stop of the forward direction.  It works very well.  The bullets and powder can be reused.  There is a little cushion in the end of the hammer to protect the bullet when it comes out inside the hammer.
