I helped along with around 20 other guides take the CVA group of repeat customers for the Outpost Lodge out fishing on their annual fishing trip. A great bunch of guys from all over Ne. In general most of the guide boats fishing on the river (Sharpe) came in with limits of walleye. Those boats fishing the big lake (Oahe) caught fish with some over 20 inch fish but for the most part it still seems like the river is the best choice to me because of the overall avg. size fish. The fish on Sharpe were caught in depths around 6 to 10 fow on bouncers with either minnows gulp crawlers or pulling plugs. Oahe fish were coming in from depth of 20 fow to way down to 80 fow making for a tougher bite. The same baits are working here. We are in for what sounds like a run of hot weather so if you are coming over bring plenty of water etc. and a good fly repellant is still good to have in your boat. javascript:void(0);
