Fished the 10-12 foot break off the South shore away from the crowd. I did really well for only being their an hour. Only one keeper. The others were over 18 inches. The fish were coming though about every ten minuets. The swedish pimple worked well for a first strike lure. I tried a chubby darter with no success, and then changed up to a buck shot. They hated movement on the jig.

The drifts are starting to form. There should be enough snow to bank a shack if you park in or close to the drift.

Ice cleats are still very strongly recommended.

The fishing action in the bigger groups of houses was not as good.

The walleye bite is good to very good.

Go slow over the bridges, with this cold weather we have a chance for the pressure ridges to heal.

Thanks Greg.

Hows the Crappie bite on the S shore? I'm hearing decent reports from the N shore about 6.5 miles out, anything happening yet near you?

I'll be up on the 20-21st of Jan, there should be a bunch of us from MNO, if you can, try and meet us at Westwinds for a beverage or 10.

See you in a couple of weeks.
