Look What I found

Damn nice buck wasted, but I got the antlers.  Really a cool looking buck.  Found this buck today in the bone yard.  This is a place on our property where big bucks go to die when mortally wounded.  So far I don't know who shot it.

heck of a nice buck to bad who ever shot it didn't recover it could you tell where it was shot? and weather it was a gun shot or archery?

It was a rifle shot.  Fairly sharp downward angle (entrance hole about 6 inches above exit hole).  Also, the deer was slightly quartering towards the shooter (exit hole about 1 foot back of entry hole).  The bullet entered about mid way near the last ribs and exited low in the gut about 6 inches lower and 1 foot back.  I'm guessing the bullet probably caught a piece of one lung and some of the liver before entering the gut.  I don't know if it left a blood trail but I'd assume it should have left some blood.

I have always thought that it would be cool to shoot a big main frame 6 point like that. Anybody can put up big inches with a 10,12 or even 14 pointer, but breaking 100" with a 6 point is AWESOME.

That is a cool rack. If it was not for those little g 3s he could be a record 3x3. I never heard of a boneyard for whitetails before and I am glad you have that enchanted piece of property.

Cool buck always sad to find wounded and not found deer.   Looks like a old one, did you look at its teeth to try aging him?
