Was watching a couple of does tonight when a 8 pointer sporting some snow white antlers came walking by. Seen a 10 a few years ago in early March that still had some on. Tried to get a picture but it did not turn out.

I have seen bucks with antlers into mid April.  Guess is means there are still does around that are still going into estrus.....per a friend that is a wildlife biologist (whitetail)

i've been seeing a ton a deer with the little bit of a warm up over the last week or so all the smaller bucks have lost all head gear and the bigger ones are still holding tight not sure when they will start dropping them my guess is in the next week or two
Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.

Up till a couple weeks ago I was seeing them with their antlers still, haven't for a bit now. Got almost 200 deer every night in the fields where I live and not a single antler in the bunch. Can't be all does and fawns out there.

I'm near Willmar,we have been having 8 deer in the yard since Jan.The 4 bucks havent joined that group this year,The bucks did lose their head gear quite awhile back.Only way to tell is when they hit a bird feeder within 20 ft of a window I sit by watching the bay,I can see the antler sockets.I use binocks and a telescope. Our local deer lost them 1 & 1/2-2 months ago
