:reporter; Minnesota man dies after falling through ice on pond

A Dakota County man died Tuesday after falling through the ice Monday on Sunset Pond Park in Burnsville, Minn.

 :coffee: ..........
The man, who has been identified only as a male in his mid-40s, was in serious condition after the accident but died Tuesday evening, KSTP-TV reported, citing the Dakota County Sheriff's Office.
The man was alone, Chief Sheriff's Deputy Tim Leslie said earlier Tuesday, and it's not clear what he was doing on the pond at the time. The park is at County Road 42 and Burnsville Parkway.

The Burnsville Fire Department initially responded and pulled the man from the water. The sheriff's office was investigating the incident.
