As of July 2015 you will have to go back to online school to pass a course to get a trailer decal to move your boat around in MN

Even out of state boaters must pass the course.

What a crock of Huey.  :puke:   Renewal every three years.  I expect a big price increase 3 years from now.  This will be another revenue source.  That's all.  After a few out of state'rs get pinched they will stick it back to us.   :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs: :bs:

yea what a crock. training-087 :banghead: :banghead:
Its huey alright.I believe it will be a revenue loser.People who have 3-4 different boats will start to decide which they need and off the others.Mn wont be one of the largest boat ownership states anymore! Meaning fewer registrations less revenue. Price of used boats will drop along with it.
$$$$$ to waste again.I have 5 of the stickers we were supposedly to use a few years back.I wounder what that cost? No thought just impose rules.

I think I need 5 stickers for my 1 trailer. They should go for $20 each on the black market. ;)

This sticker thing is so out of hand I would like 60 minutes to do a little digging and find out what company gets the sticker contract and which MN politician or DNR official owns or is related to the manufacturer.    There were two different mandatory stickers last year for everyone which then was overturned to no mandatory stickers.  What a waste and what a racket.

I already have stickers on both my boat and trailer that were "required" by the state.  Now I need another. Soon there won't be room for more.

Seems to me that if a individual takes the course, he/she should be the authorized one, not an inanimate object like the trailer?  So, anyone regardless of being trained, can legally transport a boat as long as the trailer has the proper decal but a trained person cannot if the trailer doesn't have a decal.   Seems to me the trailer should be required to take the training being that will be the deciding factor.  Come one folk, think a little!!

I'm actually contemplating even buying a fishing license in Minnesota next year.  I'll spend my money in South Dakota and Canada.  I'll take the kids out in mn as that will be free for them.  Who here said "it's just a sticker"?  I hope the liberals around here start sending in some letters and phone calls to the people they voted into office.  What a joke........

This post should circulate to all outdoor sites.Maybe just maybe, a small contingent will follow. If just 10% of all license buyers in this state didnt buy a license and sent the DNR in a email the reason.Maybe just maybe they would listen to the users of those licenses!!?? The revenue loss would devastate them! I however believe they will then make threats.Threats like we wont be putting out docks, close landings, and anything to threaten the fisherpeople!STAND STRONG I like the idea!!

This sounds to me like we may need some outside help if were going to challenge the DNR. Let me contact an old friend and see if he's willing to get involved.

Good idea Lee.  Who else can you think of that would be able to argue our point on the same intellectual level as our DNR leaders?
