I am from Florida working in Minnesota for a couple of months and looking to do some deer hunting in November. I have a question, do i have to apply for a special permit to hunt Westport WMA or can i just buy the standard WMA stamp online or at walmart? And my second question is can I hunt deer in Krantz Lake WPA? I know its a Waterfowl Production Area but does that mean hunters cant hunt deer on these pieces of property? Any help would be greatly appreciated for this out of town hunter. Thanks, BG

they should list all of that online on the dnr site I would think.

You can hunt any WMA in season and licensed. The WPA's however may create a problem,Seeing their federal and state steel shot only NO lead,a email to the Mn.DNR may be your next move for that answer.I did get a warning shooting a 22 for bunnies on a WPA across the road from home 10 years back.
