Just got off the phone with Jeff and he asked me to post that he just put out a new bridge out on his road and it should be easy access out there to the whole lake.  On his road going out past where the lodge was, he has a car sitting down there with a hole in the trunk and he asks that you put your access fee in there.  He is not charging a fixed fee, put please put in what you can.
the lake is in good shape past the road, you should have access through out the lake.

Good to hear, I was planning on utilizing his road this Friday.

Can anyone offer me a little assistance?  I have always purchased the large suckers from Jeff, I know Hillmans does not carry these large suckers, is there another location in town where I can pick them up?  Thanks for any help!

I'm not sure how large is "large", but freds bait in deer river has some up to a pound and a half. Bill or Mary will set you up.

there may be some other places along the way, but this is the only one I know of. if you are coming from bemidji, check timberline in blackduck.

I also talked to Jeff today and he said the bite was starting to pick up later today in the afternoon.  With this warmer weather that is expected it will be PRIME hole hoping to find those slabs and hunt down those walleyes.
