What does everybody do about them?  Squirrel proof feeders, put out more feed, live trap them and free in the country, or shoot them.

This is my newest and so far it's working well.

Both feeders are one and a half stories off the ground. Access is through a window in the dining room. Feeder #1 - Suet feeder is 100% not accessible any other way. Feeder #2 - The seed feeder has a thin cable from the deck that a squirrel can possibly get to it on from the deck. So far it's working.

Working for 2 reasons, an inside corner I can string a cable between, and access from the window for loading the feeders. Great for watching birds because the feeders are so close to the window.

I just keep feeding them and chase them away. Can't shoot them in town but at the campground cone hunting season there fair game. They are good eating. It is a game critter and technically can discard them if you shoot them.

Also tried those squirrel proof feeders and they don't last to long. They have springs in them that go to hell.

I used to trap them. Now I just shoot them as long as the season is still open. Neighbors tell me to shoot more even after the season closes. They all hate them.
I've used differant feeders and they always find a way.  The dogs chase them away but they just climb a tree wait until dog gets tired of barking.

We do eat them.  Slow cooker at a low temp.  Takes all day but well worth the wait.

They should taste good after eating all the cracked corn and sunflower seeds.
