The fishing is still improving. The action is the same or better than then when cold front came through this week. The walleye are back on the bottom of the lake again. The crappie were coming up off the bottom also. We had the most success fishing 1 1/2 feet off the bottom. with a green or pink demon lure. John Phil and Brad had a good mix bag of walleye, perch and crappie.

The trick of the day was using a buckshot to rattle the walleye in. The walleye were not really hitting on the buckshot, but they seemed to be attracted to the other baits after rattling for them.

The crappie are out in 13 feet of water under rough ice.

A good plan for the day would be to start in 8-10 feet of water for walleye. When you limit out on walleye, move to the deeper water and try for crappie. I expect the bite to improve this weekend
