looking for nice camping around walker and park rapids area

Sold our trailer up north, so now were homeless on the getaway scene, have the boars est and want to do more camping, and nice places that arnt elbow to elbow , beach maybe, elec. hook ups. hot chicks. oops did i type that outloud. any suggestions??

Only 1 i know in that area is federal dam and you have already been there

Best beach...Norway beach on Cass., best fishing Stoney point on Leech, most private with a good beach and good fishing..South Pikebay.  All USFS camps.  Remember all these lakes have swimmers itch if swimming on the beach so rinse off before drying off if wading or swimming shallow and less likely in late afternoon.

  I was going to suggest the Minnesota River Valley near Granitefalls,mn. The boundryWaters of the south.
 BUt knowing your driving is limited cause of arthritic elbows,bad knees,memory loss and all the gray hair and stach covered with just for men hair coloring! I knew the drive was to far!!! Just like coming to a GTG you were invited to.OH OLD AGE IS hard to deal with EH Boar???!!!

Heading to Grahms island st park in ND in july to check that out. Thanks for not suggesting that one

I will be up in the area starting july 7th......... doing my union thuggery in grand rapids most the week. my wife is coming up about wed/thur. hopefully will be done by Friday in rapids so I can play!!!!!!!!!!

we just pulled our permy site camper. we are done with all the  out there. so we will be more free to move around. so boar......be scared....real scared.........I may show up on your doorstep some day!!!!!!

 Boar if ya ever want to camp the Mn.river valley stop on by, my lot on Diamond lake is free campin for you and we can go down wit yer family,In our own car/truck anyway, show you how to get some flathead cats and great fishin for all species.Its 50 miles south of us but well worth the trip,Scenic,wild,and not used much by the public

on a serious note...in my travels when I stop at some of the wayside rests they have the tourists info flyers..pick them up its a real good starting spot for finding places.

the one on 94 in moorhead usually has stuff that basically covers the whole state! I usually stop there in the spring to get the Minnesota grown magazine!
