I was born and raised here in MN. I have been in Duluth for the past 4 years when I started getting into duck hunting. Been a deer/pheasant hunter my whole life. I recently moved to the southwest suburbs and was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to even start looking for Duck hunting. I have a few small lakes/ponds/river spots I have been looking at. Or, if anyone wants to get out and shoot some birds let me know. I would love to tag along if there is a spot open in a boat, or tag along with me to a couple spots I will be trying for my first time here.

Duluth has suburbs?   I would contact the local Ducks Unlimited for a start on places around Duluth to hunt. Scott up at Fishermen's corner would be a good one to have a chat with along with Shooters Connection over in Superior. I know there is some hunting done in the bay which may be close to your southwest suburb. There are some refuges close by which may offer you some water to start on. A lot of the guys I know up here pretty much chase grouse and woodcock.

Welcome. Glad to have a new face. I grew up west of norwood young america and we always hunted the crow river. Lots of pass shooting cor woodies and teal. After first couple of weeks the birds are gone for the season
