DETROIT _  Vikings running back Adrian Peterson on Saturday was downgraded to questionable for Sunday’s game against Detroit at Ford Field because of an illness. However, two sources close to Peterson anticipate he will be well enough to play.

Peterson previously had been listed as probable with a left finger injury suffered last Sunday against Kansas City. He had said that injury would not hamper him.

The illness is a new development. Questionable means a player has a 50 percent chance of playing.

However, the Vikings are taking no chances with their injury list after the NFL inquired last week about defensive end Everson Griffen not being listed on it. Griffen missed last Sunday’s game against Kansas City because of illness.

NFL rules require teams to announce updates to the injury list if anything new is known prior to 10:30 a.m. CDT on Sunday. A source said the NFL inquired about the timing surrounding Griffen, who became ill the morning of the game.

Griffen is listed as probable for Sunday’s game and has said there is no doubt he will play.

Peterson has played in all five Minnesota games this season, rushing for 432 yards. He was held to 60 yards on 26 carries against the Chiefs after having run for 341 yards in the previous three games.

Rookie wide receiver Stefon Diggs is expected to make his second straight start Sunday. With Charles Johnson listed as probable after missing two games because of sore ribs, the Vikings will have to decide whether or not to activate all six of their wide receivers.

Just when Lee thinks his Bears have a chance with maybe Peterson a little under the weather, Blair Walsh kicks five field goals and Touchdown Teddy throws for 300+ yards and two touchdowns.  Vikings D has 7 sacks.  Da Bears are looking for extra medical side line help for their QB, Going to be a long game next week for the mighty Bears.   Now we will see if Lee will put up one of them dollars in a bet?

Don't waste your time betting, let alone trying to collect the wager from Lee. 
After he loses, (and lose he will) there will be more sightings of Elvis and Jimmy Hoffa than Lee for the next year!! 
And I am sure that his excuse after he's found, was that the temps were too cold so Da Bears went into hibernation!!

Don't get carried away boys. I just agreed to offer the wager because I always donate to da poor anyhow. Remember to send me a receipt for the dollar if I were to lose. This way I can claim it as a charity donation on my taxes. The gypsy musta told greatoutdoors dat "Da Bears" were gunna win! Dat's why he won't accept da bet.

Not to get here but, I don't think greatoutdoors has even seen the opening for the wager yet. I just got a call from one of my many friends that live in Ely. Anyhow, to get to the point this guy saw greatoutdoors this morning. He was standing on the shore of Burntside with a fishing net full of weeds. When my pal asked what Maki was doing he almost fell over. It seems Jimmy was trying to net a huge dead walleye but it was to far out to reach. "Why would you do that" asked my buddy?

Jimmy replied that "this would my last chance to beat that tourist lady from IL for the largest walleye!"
