St. Louis Rams RB Todd Gurley vs. Minnesota Vikings' front seven. ("Best known as the 7 walls of silly puddy") :rotflmao:

© Provided by USA Today SportsGurley meets the Vikings poised to take over for Adrian Peterson as the league's premier running back.

With 566 yards in his first four NFL starts, Gurley is off to the best start of any player in the Super Bowl era. His blend of size, speed and balance make him an unparalleled threat in the open field.

For the Vikings defense, the key could be creating disruption up front. It will be much easier to prevent Gurley from getting started than to stop him once he's at the second level.

Defensive tackle Linval Joseph ranks as one of the NFL's best interior run stoppers, and should have a favorable matchup against St. Louis' struggling offensive line. The linebacking corps, which will be without rookie Eric Kendricks, will have to be disciplined to corral Gurley without overrunning plays.

Our Minnesota Sports Analyst below predicts a Minnesota loss  :moon:

Rams' Fisher to Vikings' Zimmer: 'Control your emotions'

                                             :taz:

St. Louis Rams coach Jeff Fisher on Monday criticized Vikings coach Mike Zimmer for how he reacted to Teddy Bridgewater being knocked out of Sunday's game with a concussion.

The Minnesota quarterback was sidelined early in the fourth quarter of the 21-18 overtime win at TCF Bank Stadium when cornerback Lamarcus Joyner hit him in the head with an elbow while Bridgewater was giving himself up on a slide after a run. Joyner was assessed a 15-yard penalty for unnecessary roughness, and Zimmer and several Vikings players contended it was a cheap shot.  :whistling:

After the game, Zimmer criticized Rams defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, who had been suspended for 2012 for his role in the New Orleans bounty scandal, and said that if the teams "were on the street, we probably would have had a fight."  training-087

Fisher contends Joyner's hit was not intentional.

"I think a good lesson to be learned from this is control your emotions  :taz: immediately after the game and go back and look at the tape before you jump to conclusions," Fisher told reporters Monday.

After Sunday's game, Zimmer barely shook Fisher's hand while continuing to walk.

"Mike's and my handshake was very short," Fisher said. "He didn't say a word. I went out to congratulate him. I was going to ask him how his quarterback was and congratulate him on the win, and he was gone. I understand that, but you also need to control your emotions after a game and go look at the tape and then adjust accordingly."

Zimmer and Fisher have had a relationship.

With the Vikings last year starting a two-year run at TCF, Zimmer said he called Fisher to ask him about playing in a temporary stadium. Fisher went through that with Tennessee in 1997 and 1998 when coaching a team that had moved from Houston.

Fisher believes Zimmer should have moved on considering Joyner was penalized.

"Lamarcus made a decision to go hit the quarterback prior to Teddy initiating the slide," Fisher said. "That's what happens. Had Lamarcus not made helmet contact with him, there would have not been a foul. It was penalized on the field. What more can you ask for?"

Zimmer said Monday that Bridgewater should be able to play Sunday at Oakland.

Minnesota head coach Mike Zimmer gives head linesman Jim Howey a piece of his mind as the Vikings play St. Louis in the third quarter TCF Bank Stadium on Sunday, November 8, 2015. The Vikings won on an overtime 40 yard field goal from Minnesota kicker Blair Walsh.

Bold Prediction for Week 10 of NFL Season.

 :reporter; .......
Minnesota Vikings Win Fifth Straight After Humbling Oakland Raiders At Home.

 :coffee: .......
The Oakland Raiders have been one of the NFL's truly wonderful stories thus far in 2015. Clearly, the organization is no longer the laughing stock of the league, and is finally beginning to receive some respect from NFL aficionados and media alike. Sadly, though, the Raiders will be handed their second-straight loss by the Minnesota Vikings. Derek Carr and company are no match for Minnesota's seemingly impregnable defense, and will be held to a substandard offensive performance. In the end, Minnesota will leave the bay area with a 10-point win.

Are the Minnesota Vikings Legitimate NFL Playoff Contenders?

The only complete team they have come up against this year is the Chiefs, against whom they were able to muster a measly 16 points. In fact, the Vikings have beaten their opponents this year by an average of exactly 3.5 points -- the very definition of “the skin of their teeth." :doah:

Lee Lee Lee you really must do your math better. If you are counting wins they have out scored their opponents by 64 points, that comes out to 9.14 points a game. If you want to throw in their two losses by a total of 20 points that still leaves them outscoring other teams by 44 points which comes out to 4.89 a game.... Of course the only numbers that matter are 7 and 2

OVERREACTION: The Vikings will win the NFC North. They're a game ahead of Green Bay following an impressive 30-14 win at Oakland. :doah:

REALISTIC REACTION: Teddy Bridgewater and company have a tough road ahead. They host the Packers next week and still have road games at Atlanta, Arizona and Green Bay. Home games vs. Seattle, DA Bears :blues brothers: and Giants won't be easy, either. :banghead:

The Vikings have won five straight games since their bye, the franchise's first five-game winning streak since 2009. The Vikings went 12-4 and lost in the conference championship game that season!
