Wet dry vac

[The General]

Well the wife was out cleaning her car and started my cheap shop vac on fire.  I've had 2 shop vacs in the past and both ended with motor failure.  I very rarely use it for wet applications.  Mostly just to clean out vehicles, fish house, boat.  I'm thinking about trying a ridgid brand this time.  Any thoughts?

Mine worked for years before the fan rusted off. I do both wet and dry but failed to clean it out after cleaning the basement floor.
I now have one from Fleet Farm. All plastic so no rust but watch how tight you get the hose mount.

I have a sears craftsman. Use it for same thing you do general. Had it along time. Not sure I'd buy another craftsman though. Sears stinks lately.

That's a big 10/4 0L buddy on the Sears equipments. Never again on any electrical products. I do have to admit the washing machines have been good to me to Borgie over the years.
