Does anyone know anything about this rifle I have in my possession.

It's a Steyr 95 German (i think) WWII rifle with 2 clips fully loaded.

I was told my Grandpa brought it back with him from WWII tour.

If anyone has any info on this piece or it's significance i would appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks everybody.

Try gunboards.com, that web site has tons of old military rifle forums to look through.

The Styers were not a common WWII bring back rifle, most were the jap or the Mausers.

I guess I'm not really interested in getting rid of it at this point. I am only looking for some info on it's significance and how/when it was used. Thanks for the offer though. It is in excellent condition and I have either 2 or 3 fully loaded clips with it.

I have a 12 gauge shot gun that was my great grandfathers, and my grandpa gave me his old 30-06 before he past away.  There is no amount that would make me want to part with either of them.  I still use that 30-06 every deer season.
