Four Seasons Resort May 24, 2016;
"Today the shiners moved shallow! The walleyes were in the shallow water today and we caught them in 4-6' of water. Jigs and shiners were the ticket, as usual. As long as the wind was blowing hard from the southwest, all of the boats were catching fish. We were averaging one keeper to every four fish. Most of the slot fish were 20-23".
Some serious fun was had by all at the resort.
Once the sun came out and the wind stopped blowing, we had to move out to a little deeper water. Most of our action was 8-9'. The walleyes should continue to be strong through the upcoming holiday weekend.
I was informed today that we will not be getting any more shiner minnows from our bait dealer this season. So if you are coming this weekend and want to fish with shiners, you need to pick them up on the way. That is if you can find any. We will have fatheads, leeches, and worms available." thanks for the update! whats your take on this weather front coming thru? will the thunder and lightning send the fish to lock jaw mode?????

I hope not, last front sent them out to 14-19 feet but they would still bite once we found them.

Shiners are hard to come by because they guys trapping are not getting great numbers. The suppliers have them for retail but not enough to sell to us since we go through 2-5 gallons a day.
