Borgie and I will be straining the waters of Basswood Lake on da 4th in the BWCA. That will be the fastest 3 weeks vacation of our life. Not looking forward to the packing and unpacking getting ready to go. The same process all over again when we leave to come home.
We already have the family room filled with stuff waiting for transport.

Estimated departure time this Friday 11:00 am with an overnight stop in Cameron WI.

i normally don't fish on holiday/big event weekends as things get really hectic on the lakes round here i don't feel safe and my patience starts to wear. I don't cause a scene but generally i don't have any fun. I'll relax with a cooler of beer in my back yard, who knows i might actually try smoking a brisket this year.

Heading north to the cabin.  Fishing and 4 wheeling.

I'll be heading to a friends cabin on a little lake just north of here.  Not a fishing lake but I'm sure the kids will get out catching a few sunnies.  Hours of tubing will take place, grilling, beer drinking, real fireworks, and a bunch of friends.

Spending the week before in good ol kandiyohi County.  You hear me honk as I went through cs this evening Glenn? Looks like the weather will be nice but the skeeters and flies are out in full force. Hopefully wet some lines during the week and push off the flooring job for the weekend.

Finally getting some work done on the ice house.  First trip up to the cabin last weekend we brought most of the supplies.  Looking to get all the furring strips on, T&G stained and installed and the brake module fully wired in.  We're up all weekend but by the end of it I want all the Walls done and ready for furniture, cabinets and wiring.  Doing it a little different so I can run the wire AFTER the walls are done.

Are you ding the exposed wiring with decorative/protective covering? on finished walls?

Nope, I'm going to leave the top 3 inches between the wall and ceiling open, and fish all my wire up to run along there, then fish it back down to the fixtures.  At the end I'll be throwing in some molding over it and it should trim out pretty nice.  Only wire I'm running prior to that is the wiring for all the 110 since that will be a bit more stiff to work with.

I do on the angry forum.   I'll try and do a new write up in this forum soon.  I'm out on Vacation all next week so hoping to see some progress then and should have some good new pics to get up.  After that week I should be ordering all our lights and fixtures.  On top of what we have on hand I'm looking at about 350 in lighting and switches.

KOOL EH! I was wondering how you'd pull romax through walls without bunching up the insulation tighter than boars undies!! Even with some 12-16 Ga wire go slow and keep the insulation undestrurbed when you push the tape to retrieve the wires.Sounds like a great way to run wire then make a cutout for a box rather than install a box then do a cutout while installing iinterior finish. What made you decide to go that direction? I have done so many and a missed measurment can screw up and ruin the finish material!! Been there done that!!

Insulation is sprayfoam so its hard as a rock, no worries about bunching it up.  It was for a couple reasons, one being that I hear left and right about people hitting a wire with a nail.  If all the nails are in no hitting wire!  two, I have wired more outlets, lights and strings than I care to remember in houses but never in something that takes a pounding every weekend on the road so I wanted it accessable for fixes down the road, and three I'm honestly still not sure I have everything I will ultimately want on my plans and with the top of the wall open I can always go back and add more outlets and fixtures if needed.  All I will need to do is pull the molding off which will be installed with finishing screws.  Its looking like a little over 2000 feet of wire so it will be tight but I think it will be manageable.

Renting a cabin for the week.  Fishing, eating, drinking, playing and sometimes just doing nothing.  There is a group of about 40 of us take over the resort for a week.  It's a blast.
