    • Fishing & Hunting South Dakota's Lake Oahe and Lake Sharpe
Lots of wind around this week and it effected the catch's both with my customers and the average fishermen along with the Cabela's regional tournament. I fished the Kevin Willis group then the Aune father son group and I am now doing the repeat customer Robinson group. We had limit fishing on Sharpe at West Bend for the above groups and some great times however the wind made for limited results on Oahe. The fish on Sharpe are coming from real shallow to 25 fow or more on ridge lines but limits of eater size walleye along with some occasional over 20 inch fish are the norm. It is still a real good bite here. The fish on Oahe are also scattered from 15 fow out to 60 fow making finding them challenging. Nightcrawler/bouncer rigs along with leeches and minnows are good. Pulling plugs will probably come into play in the upcoming annual Governor's Cup Tournament this weekend. There should be some real nice stringers weighted as there are plenty of 18 to 19 inch walleye around. Lots of bait around also so these guys aren't always hungry making for a spotty bite. Bring plenty of liquids along. Some good bug spray and sun screen make for better trips.
