                        Question of the week

Q: If I purchase a hunting or fishing license on the DNR website, do I need to keep a printed copy with me out in the field?

A: If you're using a home computer, you can print most licenses and need to keep a copy with you when participating in the activity. In cases where the license has a tag, the license will be mailed to you, and you must have the license in possession.

 :police: ....
Licenses purchased on a mobile device are issued in electronic format, and you can choose to receive an email and/or text message that serves as your license. In that case, you must carry your mobile device or a printed copy of this email or text message to show proof of license.

I print multiple copies of my licenses I purchase online.  I then have one in each boat and in each truck just in case I forget the one in my wallet.

I have no problem buying them at the local bait shop if I am there. I think they make a dollar for selling them and if they are busy it is not their favorite thing to do.

I usually do the FF thing. Not like I don't ever go there and there is rarely a line when I'm there. Cabela's usually has a line and seems I always get behind some clown trying to return something who loves to bellyache with an ax to grind. I could do the online thing but my printer at home is a beater. You literally have to beat on it sometimes to get it to print!  :bonk:
