Shed hunting in September?

While checking out some stands with his dad, my grandson found his first antler shed.  I don't know how he spotted it in the grass.  I never have had any luck finding sheds and here he goes and finds this one under a stand in September.  Go figure. And, yes, he was excited.

He is lower to the ground and has young eyes. It's the same way when I bring the kids looking for morels.  Great way to get him excited for deer hunting.
