I just realized I didn't post my buck story.  I guess I was jus too excited about my grandsons hunt.  Anyway it went down like this.  Yesterday, the last day of the 9 day hunt I decided to go to a stand I had not been yet hunted.  dakids, just so you know it's the one you had the big doe under and where you saw the buck across the beaver pond.  At 8 AM I saw a buck heading north but he was a ways away so I couldn't get a good look at him.  I grunted him to a stop, and a grunt snort wheeze got him turned around.  Just as I thought he would come to check me out, he returned the way he came from.  I got a better look and had a shot but wasn't convinced he was a mature buck.  About an hour later I see a buck traveling north again almost in the same location.  Again, the grunts, and grunt, snort, wheeze got him turned around.  This time the buck came a bit closer to me trying to see just what was making the odd noises.  When he reached a small window I grunted him to a stop. I could see some sort of main beam but due to light, distance and brush background, wasn't sure of the size.  Being he was broadside and looking at me, I decided to shoot him.  He made 3 or 4 bounds and crashed.  I was pleasantly surprised when I walked up on him and saw he was a respectable 9 pointer.  Thus ended my 2016 gun season.  Tonight I looked through my saved trail camera pictures and I believe I have a couple pictures of this buck.

That's a cool stand.  Great views and feels like a big buck could walk by at anytime.   Thanks for sharing.   Here are a few selfie that I took from the stand.
