At last check there is about 8 to 9 inches of good solid ice in the McKinley park area of Big bay.
Most of the people I have talked to have been catching some nice Walleyes and a few nice perch.
Small jigs tipped with a minnow or just a minnow head have been the way to go. Have a great Holiday everybody. :happy1:

Lots of local ice anglers are already removing their shacks as the ice surface has begun to get pretty wet and the Walleye action has slowed down. With the warm temps on their way I'm sure that ice conditions will get worse around McKinley park so watch yourselves if you venture out.
