Aaron Rodgers expects to be ‘closer to 100 percent’ against Minnesota.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers isn’t concerned :whistling: about his ailing calf heading into a big divisional showdown against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16.

Rodgers, who played through the injury and threw for 252 yards in a win against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, said on Tuesday that he’s expecting to be closer to full health when he takes the field versus Minnesota.

“I would assume, based on how I felt after the game, that I’ll be closer to 100 percent than I was in the Chicago game,” Rodgers said, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN. “Escaping is really the thing, and moving in the pocket, that I’m concerned with my calf and my ability to move. Subtle movements.

“I felt good really the first third down of the game,” Rodgers continued, referring to a specific play against Chicago. “[Bears linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski] comes clean, and I kind of slide some to the left, kind of a quick movement in the pocket, and threw it to Jared [Cook] for a first down. At that point, I knew I was able to make some quick movements in the pocket. As the game extended, I felt some freedom moving a little bit.”

Rodgers’ :bs: calf injury was never believed to be serious in the first place. But any potential health concerns will always be magnified at such a crucial juncture of the season. The Packers can win the NFC North and clinch a playoff spot by defeating training-087 the Vikings in Week 16 and the Detroit Lions in Week 17. These kind of quotes from their star quarterback should give them some confidence as they look to do so. :happy1:

Should be a good game.  I don't think the the cheeseheads are better than the Vikings as a team for the most part but they do have the best Qb in the game and that's a big plus.  Our defense will decide how his ankle is real quick.  good luck.
