When we bought we decided on used as we could get what we were looking for in our price range.  After seeing what was available in Alumacrafts, Lunds, & Crestliners we decided that Crestliner fit the bill for us. Lunds were a lot more $ & we didn't like the front deck / storage design on the Alumacrafts. We found a '02 FH 1750 late in the fall of '06 for a little more than 1/2 the price of new. We figured the 4 stroke Yamaha on it was worth 2/3 to 3/4 of what we paid. We found ours on Craigs List after looking for quite a while but we also kept an eye on the classifieds on Walleye Central as well to see what was available in our area & what they were going for. Good luck

Thank you for the advice. I'll check out the Walleye Central board too as another source of info in my search. Some days i think it's easier to just hook up to one, take it off the lot w/o paying for it, and deal with the consequences later. In either case, the wife would not be impressed one bit.
all i care about is fishing...and like maybe three people
