 The Chicago Bears made it official today with the release of veteran quarterback Jay Cutler, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

 
The Chicago Bears are reportedly doing the inevitable on Thursday, reportedly releasing Jay Cutler after eight up-and-down seasons with the team. Cutler will become a free agent and can sign with whichever team he’d like, but it’s unclear how many suitors he’ll actually have on the open market. He’s likely to land somewhere, seeing as he’s just 33 years old and has some gas left in the tank, it’s just a matter of where (and when). Here are five potential destinations for the veteran quarterback this offseason.

Cutler, who was acquired by the Bears in a trade with the Denver Broncos in 2009, started 102 games with a 51-51 record over the last eight seasons. He ends his Bears career atop almost every franchise passing record.

Now an unrestricted free agent, Cutler will join a volatile quarterback market along with Cowboys veteran Tony Romo.

Two things in common here, I haven't smite'd anyone yet and Mr. Borgersen hasn't been smite'd yet.  However I will break with my tradition and give Mr. Borgersen his first smite for creating turmoil in the sports forum and to all loyal Vikings fans. I almost swallowed that one though.  good luck.

Well, until recently I've always felt comfortable posting on MNO.  Now I can see the true colors of discrimination starting to show it's ugly head of predigest. Here I am a poor elderly slightly over weight struggling fishing guide. Known by some here as an "old white man boarder jumper from Illinois." Now things have gotten out of hand as many of my beloved fellow MNO'ers have turned on me.  Yes, I'm sure for some of you it's hard to believe I know.

In all my born days I have never been smitted until recently as a rash of smites has have soiled my pristine record. Borgie has noted a difference in me during my recent time of despair. I've refused to discuss my recent event with her. Why should I get her upset over something that she can't fix. Besides that she wouldn't give me any comforting anyhow.
