4 rule changes the NFL is making to rosters, celebrations, and overtime in 2017

 :coffee: ..
The NFL held its league meeting in Chicago on Tuesday, and owners voted on potential changes for the upcoming season. Among the proposals were shortening overtime, expanding injured reserve rules and softening celebration penalties.

Commissioner Roger Goodell announced changes to the way touchdown celebrations are penalized, but that wasn’t the only adjustment the league made. A total of four major changes were approved involving rosters and overtime periods.

As far as overtime, make it like hockey, first team to score wins period.  Bud Grand didn't like his players to celebrate.  i dont really care if there is some celebration.  Not that easy to get in the end zone.  good luck.

Mark me down as being with Bud.  There is a difference between spontaneous, exuberant celebration and all of the other nonsense.  I think players come up with signature moves or outrageous demonstrations to "build their brands."  Look at me, look at me now!

They say football is the ultimate team sport, but someone is show-boating after every big play now.  Baseball teams don't put up with it.  I wonder why football does.

Agree Steve-o. It's gotten to the point where all this celebrating is making the game like watching pro wrestling (which is real BTW...  :cheesy:)
