Well, we've had a slight change in plans.  My son has to work half a day on Friday, so we'll be leaving mid-day-ish.  I could ride up earlier by my self, but I really look forward to riding up with him, so I'm gonna wait till he's done and we'll ride up together.  Feel free to swing by, but you might beat us up there, depending on when we get under way.  I'll be in my green Explorer again this year.  There's one free standing cabin out on the corner, and we're in the next cabin in from that on the lakeshore-same one we had  last year.  Hope to cross paths with you again, sir.

We were up scouting yesterday.  Man, what a beautiful day to be in the woods.  We flew three grouse.  I got shots off at two of them. One was a tough crossing shot which I missed badly.  The second was straight away, at eye level, and once again I practiced conservation.  I can't even believe I missed the one and only gimme shot I've ever had on a grouse!  Deciding which rifle to carry this year.  Thinking seriously about setting aside the 99 and carrying the old Mauser.  I'm running thin on my pet reloads and I want to stretch them out a few more years.  I guess I'm just going to have to pick up what else I need to roll my own.

Glenn-we won't be leaving Prior Lake till around 12:30 and will have to stop in Brooklyn Park to pick up my son's buddy.  Guessing we won't be up there until after 4 o'clock.  Maybe later as we'll probably have a couple stops along the way.  Sorry, but we probably won't be up there by the time you're coming through.
