Anyone shop there. Buy anything from them??? I went through there outlet store in red wing. I wasn't all that impressed. I like flannel shirts in the winter, they had some light ones but not the heavier shirts I like.

Good stuff; but spendy, IMO.   Better place for shirts and clothes, though, l like Sportsman's Guide. LOTS of great clothes there. Have a great rabbit fur hat I got there years ago for $25 that I just love. Same as Ganders $60 one was. Some heavy flannel shirts, too. Well worth the membership price.

Ya know where I found some good, heavy flannel shirts in the XXL XT (extra tall) sizes? Menard's! Wearing one now; usually have them cheap on their big black Friday sale. "Old Mill" brand, not to be confused with the beer, aka Old Swill.

what, you were right across the street at the DTP store and didn't say hi?

Did you find anything at the Red Wing Shoe store?
next time in the neighborhood, let me know... i can get you the family and friends discount.

I like the DLC's commercials. :happy1:  My brother wears a lot of flannel shirts too, all year round actually, as he can't take being in the sun a lot. I've found some good prices at a nearby JCP store, just before Xmas. They aren't the heavy ones you like glenn or the highest quality but that doesn't seem to matter for him as they won't last no matter if they're <$15 or $50. Might have to check out Menards though, thanks Reb

Had these Old Mill flannels for about 5 years, and still going strong. I won't buy junk, and these definitely are NOT cheapos.  Very soft and med-heavy. Two buttons on sleeves for width, and extras on bottom front. I bet you guys would like 'em, if they haven't changed...

I have a couple older ones from JCP that I like & are heavier / better quality, they're the St. Johns Bay line, I think.

I would get more excited about it if they were made in the USA.  I didn't see one product in their catalog made here.  Great marketing program though.

I've got a few of those, too. Darned good shirts. One reason I ended up buying the Old Mills ones, was the "help" at JC Penney. Went in there looking for those specific flannel ones, and this totally like valley girl like looking chick asked me if she could like help me....and this is pretty much verbatim:

me: Where do you have the flannel shirts?

vg: You mean like cotton?

Me:  Ya, that's what flannel is...the plaid pattern type shirts...

vg:  Like, a pullover?

me: No, a button-down guys plaid flannel shirt!

vg: Like a dress shirt?

me: No, like a friggin' causal shirt...an "outdoorsy type" shirt!!!

vg: Would they be like a jacket?

me: $#@! Do you really work in this department?! You're telling me you don't have guys flannel shirts for Fall??!

vg: umm.....................................................no, I don't think we carry any of those.......

On the way out, I spied a table piled with plaid FLANNEL shirts on sale...I grabbed one, held it up, and hollered "THIS IS A FLANNEL SHIRT, BUFFY!!!"

She just gave me a blank stare and walked away, popping her bubblegum.... :angry2:
