Timber!
A friend who does some absolutely wonderful wood pieces and I went to my land yesterday
to harvest some raw material.  We cut three burls and an old butternut tree. Great fun.

Large butternut log.  Good wood, no ants or rot yet

that would be cool to see what he comes up with the burl. my brother has a friend from grand rapids that does things with diamond willow!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting DE.  A Butternut tree.  I see they are mostly in SE and Central MN.  Like a Walnut tree.   Don't think I have seen one.  Nice big tree.  Can't wait to see the creation with the burl.
