Aaron Rodgers Agitated By Team's Decision to Fire QB Coach! :angry2:

 :reporter; 2/1/18

 :coffee: .....
There tends to be a special relationship between a superstar player and his position coach. The job is simple in its description, but comes with the massive responsibility of tuning and perfecting a player's mechanics so that head coaches and coordinators just have to worry about calling the right plays.

  ....
Well, the Green Bay Packers recently opted to let go of Alex Van Pelt, who had been Aaron Rogers' QB coach since 2014 after first joining the staff in 2012. And the six-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion quarterbac didn't take to kindly to the decision:

  ....
The final word in the quote provided by Packers insider Rob Demovsky was "decision," which hints that it's not so much the stud signal-caller is bothered by the move itself as much as he is upset with the fact that the team didn't come to consult him first before finalizing it.
For now, that's as deep as we can go in speculating about the ins and outs of the situation.
Van Pelt was eagerly swooped up by the Cincinnati Bengals to work with Andy Dalton and company, while former New York Giants QB coach Frank Cignetti Jr. has taken his place in Green Bay.

 :happy1: ...
The move makes sense amid all the shuffling in the staff, which includes the return of Joe Philbin as OC, so we hope the chemistry gets established quickly.
But as long as No. 12 is on board and adapts quickly, then the Pack shouldn't have a problem.

At this stage in his carrier, what could you possibly teach A.R. About quarter backing? I wouldn’t even fill the position.

I hate Green Bay more than Nancy Pelosi or Chuck Schumer, but think they're over analyzing their team.
They lost Rodgers early in the season which changed the entire chemistry of the team.
Now they blame the coaches?   :coffee:
Think they'll slide downhill if they change too much-so have at it!!!  :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

It is impossible to know what the behind the scenes issues are.

Maybe the Packers thought that Van Pelt wasn't pushing Rodgers enough - getting too cozy.  Sometimes a change in personnel can re-energize situations.

And although Rodgers is in the prime of his career, it isn't too early to start thinking about his successor.  That isn't something prima donna QBs like to deal with (Brett Favre for example) but the day will come.  Maybe a new QB coach less loyal to Rodgers can be more open about that when the time comes.
