locator batteries
OK boys, my Marcum LX7 locator battery is KAPUT. it was a 12V9AH battery as indicated on the battery. it also has FM1290 listed. in this weeks fleet farm flyer they have a UB1270 12V 7AH for $14.99.

also a 12V 8AH for $16.99.........so whats the difference?????

i think i would like to stay with the same thing that was in there even if its more cash. i tried the cheap route once with these many moons ago and was not impressed.

The amp hours!!! Both are LESS than what you had...go with a better one! More amp hours! (AH)

Thanks! 9AH may be the biggest around; 10-12 are hard to find, but...get an AGM one, instead of lead-acid. MUCH better, and lasts longer. (Absorbant glass mat) So, you would want a 12V9AH AGM on the battery... :azn:


You can find them cheaper than this one...but they are soooooo much better...

Personally I'd go for the Fleetfarm 8Ah,Why get spendy on a top o the line batt that gets used 3 months then sits for 9 months sulficating. You can get a 12V 9Ah batt. lead acid made for that unit,off ebay for 22 bucks
 Question do you need and want a battery that fits in the units battery compartment? Lots a batteries out there for less than 50 bucks that have  ratings of 18-20 Ah,I have 2 that I carry and use when needed for flasher,sonar,GPS,wheeler all my 12V chit

We got a new 1 last season at L & M, they had cases of them. Think :scratch: it was a 8 ah & cost us $17-$18 + tax.
