Fixed. The dumb azz that replaced wall control apparently didn't have the connections tight!! After 2 years. :bonk: :bonk:
Actually we had somethin similar happen here last year as we suddenly started getting a low voltage error message on the upstairs thermostat. Called the people that installed it in 2013-2014 & that's what they found, a loose wire.

After more investigating I found out the loose wire was in a junction box downstairs by the furnace. I'm pretty sure nobody had done any work on that since we'd rebuilt. So.........................

Amazing how they actually can loosen up. One reason why all the wire nuts I use have the metal thread insert. Get 'em tight, they seem to stay tight.  :happy1:

Yeah I'm sure most contractors are tryin to do the job as cheaply as possible. :tut: So why would you use a fastner that might cost an extra $.05 - $.10, specially using so many on the bigger jobs.

Sorta like these plastic push 'n click plumbing fittings...NOT in my house!  :tut: Only plumbing plastic I have are the PVC sink goosenecks ya tighten down with nylon seals that I installed...easier to pull and clean if need be. Don't put 'tater peels in disposal.
