:drillsergeant:  Ask a Conservation Officer:

:toast: Is alcohol allowed in state parks?

Q: My family and I are going to a state park this month for the first time. Are dogs allowed in the parks? Can I enjoy an alcoholic beverage at my campsite?

A: Minnesota’s state parks offer wonderful opportunities for visitors to get outside and see much of what our state has to offer. Because of the large amounts of people that visit many parks, there are a few rules to be aware of that help everyone enjoy their experience.

Alcoholic beverages containing more than 3.2 percent alcohol, including liquor, wine and most beer, are prohibited in the parks. :tut:

Pets must be restrained at all times, either in a portable enclosure or by a leash no longer than 6 feet, and pet waste deposited in mowed or maintained areas must be immediately cleaned up. :moon:

 :campfire: ...
Fires are only permitted in designated fire rings, and firewood may not be gathered in the park.

 :camping: ....
Camping is permitted only in designated sites.

A person shall not disturb, damage or remove any items from the park other than edible fruit and mushrooms. :embarrassed:

Any firewood brought into the park must be non-ash wood obtained through a certified vendor in the same county or certified by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture. Firewood is available for sale in most parks. :doofus:

 :coffee: .....
For more information and other restrictions, contact your local state park, visit dnr.state.mn.us or see Minnesota Rules Chapter 6100.

I can dig it.

If someone :tequila; and starts to :taz: the MN State Park experience for others

prohibition of strong alcohol gives :drillsergeant: & :police: the tools they need to resolve the situation.

If you're just :campfire: having a :bump:, no one will ever know or even care.
