Did he try to destroy the flag by burning down the church (a really bad idea), or did he start a small fire in a waste basket and the prosecutor charged it up to arson?

I don't know.  I'm asking.  Not smart on the part of the convicted either way.

IMO "hate crimes" in general and "hate speech crimes" in particular are dangerous.  I *think* I know who they are going after now (supremacists, etc).  Its a way of turning misdemeanors into something more serious when those so-called minor offenses are intended to terrorize.  But those definitions could very easily be broadened - depending who is in authority - to include regular citizens, whereby opposing points of view are interpreted to be intolerance and redefined to be hate.  Its coming.  Look at whats happening on the Hallmark channel this week.

I've never heard of a utility company that has so many outages and doesn't know why.....that's 5 this year so far. Been keeping track.
So, if they didn't have a clue, how did they fix it? 



ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) - Multiple homes were affected by a power outage in Northeast Rochester that started just before 9:30 Monday morning. The outage lasted for over three hours.

Most of the customers were in the Stonehedge Drive and Jasper Place neighborhood area.

RPU crews said they could not determine the cause of the outage.

All 286 affected customers got power back by 12:40 p.m.
