Puttin' on my Yooper face Thursday and going out to try to fill a tag.  Been awful quiet up in the area we hunt near Emily.  Hate to move out of there as it's Hunter's choice, but thinking about hitting a spot up by Hinckley.  It's supposed to warm up a bit, so maybe that will get the deer moving.  Sure would be nice to get some meat in the freezer before ML season starts.

We are up north of remer.  Real quiet in our area as well.
Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

We got lucky in Longville opening weekend, but it was pretty quiet there as well.  I think the thick woods, lots of swamps, and early pressure from bird hunters makes public land hunting in that part of the state difficult.

There's plenty of Deer around Emily. We almost hit a few in the ditches every time we drive by to our spot north of there.
Cooking over a open fire is all fun and games until someone losses a wiener!
